This text presents a reconstruction of the trajectory of social movements for sexual diversity in Argentina, show the route of claim of same-sex marriage in 2010. The different stages of social mobilization are shown from the political opportunities that allowed the recognition of rights for sexual minorities, with the aim of pointing out the elements that were necessary for the achievement of recognition of same-sex marriage.
