By presenting the evo1ution of variables and broad economic facts, it is proposed in this essay that instead of b1aming the implementation of a neoliberal model for the problems that Colombia has been facing, wtii ci: otherwise has not been proved, i thas been the implementa tion of inadequate economic policies and speculative events both national and international, what has generated the economic crisis.
