MANRIQUE, Olga Lucía. FUENTES DE LAS ECONOMÍAS DE AGLOMERACIÓN: UNA REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA . Cuad. Econ. [online]. 2006, vol.25, n.45, pp. 75-93. ISSN 0121-4772.

Contributions from theoretical and empirical work were considered following a review of the literature concerning the economics of agglomeration, particularly those related to the causes of such economics. The pioneering work of G. Duranton and D. Puga (2003) and S. Rosenthal and W. Strange (2003) were taken as the main references. The former compiled the body of theoretical work and summarised the microeconomic mechanisms of the economics of agglomeration into three categories: sharing, matching and learning. The latter collected empirical work and considered three microeconomic sources: input sharing, knowledge spill-over and labour-market pooling.

Palavras-chave : agglomeration; externalities; sharing; learning; matching.
