Sustainable development has been the preoccupation par excellence during the last few decades. The financial sector has opted for the topic by dealing with social, environmental and economic management practice leading to socially responsible action. Entities are currently worried about corporative social responsibility and focus their businesses in line with Triple Result philosophy. By adopting the Principles of Ecuador, the banks make a set of guidelines available for managing social and environmental topics related to financing large-scale development projects
