Abstract
ARIAS, Paola Andrea and ARIAS, Fabio. EL ALTRUISMO EN LA DISPONIBILIDAD A PAGAR DE LOS CALEÑOS POR PROYECTOS DE CARÁCTER SOCIAL. Cuad. Econ. [online]. 2007, vol.26, n.47, pp.81-112. ISSN 0121-4772.
The contingent evaluation method (CEM) was applied within a cost-benefit analysis of projects forming part of the Citizens Coexistence and Safety Support Programme (CCSSP) in Cali to estimate their early impact (monetarily). This technique was the most suitable given such impacts complexity and temporality; these were related to changes in knowledge, perceptions and attitudes. However, it could not be concluded that the availability of social funds estimated by household (strictly) expressed impact level evaluation.
Keywords : altruism; cost-benefit analysis; public policy; contingent evaluation.
