CASTANEDA RODRIGUEZ, Víctor Mauricio. REFLEXIÓN ACERCA DE LA REPRESENTACIÓN DEL AGENTE EN LA TEORÍA ECONÓMICA EVOLUTIVA: CONTROVERSIA ENTRE LAS PERSPECTIVAS ORTODOXA Y HETERODOXA. Cuad. Econ. [online]. 2011, vol.30, n.55, pp.31-53. ISSN 0121-4772.
This document makes an analysis of the neoclassical framework in relation to the way how the agents choose, emphasizing that the assumptions reward the formalization, despising its power of representation of the model. According to studies made by authors like Kahneman & Tversky (1973, 1979, 1984), Simon (1955, 1991), Hodgson (1988, 2000), Holland (2004), Lara (2007, 2009), among others, it was found that the empirical evidence and theoretical framework of evolutionary economics suggests that, in fact, man could be studied as a complex adaptive agent, who although can blunder, likewise is able to learn and to improve his mental models. Likewise, this work presents the firm as an organizational structure that although is affected by problems such opportunism, helps individuals to address difficulties related to bounded rationality and the decision context.
