This paper introduces the concept of socioeconomic violence; that is, the mechanisms of regulating distributive conflicts and governmental practices that eliminate the basic conditions for the reproduction of life. There are three key expressions of socioeconomic violence: dispossession, economic vulnerability and lack of opportunities. The document insists on the disproportionate impact of those expressions of socioeconomic violence on persons in situation of forced displacement. And argues that it is necessary a minimalist agenda that not only suspends violence as a way for regulating distribution conflicts, but also becomes the base for peace-building with social justice in Colombia.
