This paper reviews the history of the socioeconomic structure of the Argentina's pampas, since the last decade of the xx century. The aim is to frame, analyze and understand what happened in recent times, in the first decade of xxi century. The reviewed evidence allows us to conclude that the strong acceleration of production concentration that occurred in the previous years extended its effects to the new period. A new strategy, to gain scale through rentals, has also been consolidated regarding the growth of large enterprises.
