Abstract

ALONSO CIFUENTES, Julio César  and  BONILLA LOPEZ, María Fernanda. Spatial integration in the guava fruit market in Valle del Cauca. Cuad. Econ. [online]. 2018, vol.37, n.74, pp.471-494. ISSN 0121-4772.  https://doi.org/10.15446/cuad.econ.v37n74.58920.

This paper explores the spatial integration of the guava market in Valle del Cauca (Colombian department). We use weekly wholesale prices for the period between 2012 and 2015. Using unit root tests, we found that all prices are I(1). Johansen’s cointegration tests allow us to conclude that the four markets being studied are spatially integrated. We also find that Cali is the most important market.
