Abstract

This article examines the consequences of the Law 1150 of 2007 and the Decree 066 of 2008 to the engineering consultancy in Colombia. The author also stress the benefits of the recent legislation, but either proposes to a future legislative agenda the difficulties the law has; particularly, the case of conflict of interest, the short list, and the non-production of a certificate of availability budget by the public entities for consultancy contracts. The article concludes with a reflection on the role of the university in engineering consultancy.
