Abstract

ZAPATA, Carlos J; RIOS, Mario  and  GOMEZ, Oscar. Voltage Security Indexes Computed using Data from Phasor Measurements Units. rev.ing. [online]. 2009, n.30, pp.49-55. ISSN 0121-4993.

Phasor measurement units are a technological resource that allows observing with great accuracy the dynamic state of the electric power system. Its application allows, among many things, the implementation of indexes for the on line assessment of voltage security. This paper presents a brief review on the development of these indexes and the results of a study on the establishment semantic - graphic scales for three of them which express to the control center operator in a qualitative way the state of system voltage security.

Keywords : Phasor measurement units; power system security; voltage stability.
