Abstract

This article details the experience of the last three years in regards to the development of innovation- based clusters within Chilean metal mining. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of innovation, on mobilizing innovation, and the distinct ways to innovate. Ín addition, it discusses the main aspects of programs currently being developed in Chile, with their respective business strategies and both public and private policies.
