Abstract

GARCIA, María Claudia; PINEROS BOTERO, Andrea; BERNAL QUIROGA, Fabio Andrés  and  ARDILA ROBLES, Estefanía. Climate Variability, Climate Change and Water Resources in Colombia. rev.ing. [online]. 2012, n.36, pp.60-64. ISSN 0121-4993.

This document presents a synthesis of the main advances made in Colombia in terms of the study of climate change and its relationship with water resources. It traces the phenomena of climatic variability in the country and gathers information on the most important impacts of climate change and climatic variability on its freshwater systems. The document also pinpoints a number of key points with respect to the estimation of water resource vulnerability due to such impacts, describing analysis models, results and steps to follow in the generation of knowledge that allow us to improve the management of water resources in Colombia.

Keywords : Climate change; vulnerability; water resources.
