This article synthesises research done by the interdisciplinary Bio-management group for developing quinua production and its uses in Colombia (being an organic cereal for human consumption produced by the Indians in the south of Colombia). It proposes a strategic analysis of the Colombian quinua sector aimed at identifying key factors for change (having a moderate or high degree of being able to be controlled) and which could affect forming a quinua production chain. Some strategies also orientated towards controlling these factors re change are proposed for ensuring its suitable formation.
