Abstract

The growing demand of services in superior education has arouse the interest of the private sector and has put to the public sector in alert before the changes that will be demanded by the demographic pressure. In this paper the perception of the potential students is analyzed concerning the institutions that offer superior education in the area of Tampico Mexico. the search wants to explore the positioning of universities, the characteristics attributed to each one of them and the preferences of the potential students. Published studies that analyze this phenomenon from the approached perspective are not known, with this paper is wanted to enlarge the knowledge of the sector , providing information for the implementation of strategies.
