Abstract

BLAZQUEZ SANTANA, Félix; DORTA VELAZQUEZ, José Andrés  and  VERONA MARTEL, María Concepción. Factors of the managerial growth: Special reference to the small and medium companies. Innovar [online]. 2006, vol.16, n.28, pp.43-56. ISSN 0121-5051.

Adopting a strategic focus in the market through business growth is a challenge not available to all the companies. In this context, the evidence shows that the less dimension the company has, the greater inclination towards the growth in order to reduce the structural barriers linked to its dimension. Nevertheless, although there is been an increase in the number of studies that consider this kind of companies, the main difficulty for obtaining contrastable information, has limited the development of empirical works that address the different circumstances that favour o limit its growth capacity. In this respect, the present work analyzes the main factors that determine the adoption of business growth as a corporate strategy.
