Abstract

SERVERA-FRANCES, David. Concept and Evolution of the Logistical Function. Innovar [online]. 2010, vol.20, n.38, pp.217-234. ISSN 0121-5051.

In recent years, the logistical function has taken on maximum importance in companies' competitiveness, particularly given their ability to generate value for the final consumer. This importance, added to the confusion of existing terms (statistics, transport, physical distribution, supply chain management...) has led us to undertake this work in which we aim, through a review of the literature, to provide greater clarity with respect to the concept of logistical function and its historical evolution.

Keywords : logistics; definition of logistics; logistical functions; Supply Chain Management.
