Abstract
GALO, Nadya Regina; RIBEIRO, Priscilla C. C.; MERGULHAO, Ricardo C. and VIDAL VIEIRA, José Geraldo. SELECTION OF A LOGISTICS SERVICE PROVIDER: ALIGNMENT BETWEEN CRITERIA AND INDICATORS. Innovar [online]. 2018, vol.28, n.69, pp.55-70. ISSN 0121-5051. https://doi.org/10.15446/innovar.v28n69.71696.
This article aims to identify the criteria for selecting logistics service providers, their performance indicators and their alignment in the selection and evaluation processes for suppliers in the retail sector. A study of multiple cases was carried out in a logistics operator and four consignees through interviews, reports of performance indicators and direct observations. General results show that few common criteria are considered; the "cost of freight" is used by all companies; and criteria related to the quality of the services provided are not often managed. Moreover, there is little alignment between criteria and indicators, which suggests that companies do not adopt evaluation mechanisms for logistics service providers.
