Accessing the international markets is becoming more and more critical for companies as this allows them to expand and grow more competitive. The use of green strategies within the organization has been proposed as a product differentiator that will allow companies to access international markets more rapidly; particularly North American and European markets. Considering two programs of the Colombian Government aimed at corporate strengthening -Productive Transformation Program (FTP)- and the implementation of green strategies within businesses -National Green Business Plan (NGBP)-, the purpose of this study is to account for the opinions of entrepreneurs in a particular sector on the development of such programs and reflect on the importance of using green strategies in the internationalization of companies, specifically for the cosmetics and toiletries sector in Bogota.

Keywords : Trade and environment; green economy; internationalization.
