This paper explores the dichotomy between game and rationality from the perspective of complex thinking. It is assumed that organization theories have not sufficiently accounted for the ludic matrix of their ideas or, at best, have vaguely incorporated this tool as an expression of an undesirable but inevitable non-rationality; or as a resource at the service of productivity and efficiency. The ludic matrix owns a vibrant presence that has gradually appeared in the field of organizational studies through research on emotions, aesthetics, humor, learning, narratives, rituals, symbolic life, and, in general, on the notion of organizational culture. Therefore, the ludic matrix in organizations is expressed in many ways: at commercial and industrial fairs, in exercises and techniques for labor training, as a resource to boost creativity and encourage innovation, and as a device for the design of business strategies. Thus, it is important for organizational studies to acknowledge that some of its research lines have a playful matrix. This work is part of a broader reflection on the capitalist style of seduction. Under this situation, the notion of ludic capital is proposed as the cornerstone of the seduction process by capitalism.
