Abstract

Objective: To describe some of the basic ethical concepts for clinical and biomedical investigations. Method: A literature review was performed in Pubmed, Scielo and the Internet about the global, historic and most recent aspects about ethics in research. Results: Some of the findings are presented with an objective perspective as discussion. Scientific research is the actual basis for knowledge and it is also the way physicians generate new treatment methods in medicine as well as the new conception of the world and its reality. Ethical aspects are the key to design and perform any scientific research.
