Abstract

This article does are taken elements of the reflection of thinkers from different disciplines, especially environmentalists to build a concept of rationality environmental, such as motivating and router action. The issue is justified for two reasons: 1) economic rationality has become the only parameter for decision-making and does not allow that other rational has no place and, 2) today, can be a relativism that research and decision-making and generation of actions necessary to deal with the call environmental crisis. The document has some elements that, from "thought environmental" Augusto Angel Maya contribute to the construction of rationality. In the final part is an invitation to building from thinking rationality environmental that generate knowledge and action.
