The present article analyzes the non-economic determinants of higher education graduates' migration. From a perspective of migration qualified as internal in Colombia, the case of graduates of a university in the Colombian Caribbean region, Universidad de Cartagena, was studied. The categorical variable "migrant" was built, and a multivariate Logit model was considered, taking into account information from databases of the SNIES, SPADIES and the Survey of Follow-up to Graduates (ESE) of this university. The results showed that variables such as sex, marital status, previous migration of the family, the university location, the type of degree obtained and the existence of higher education offer in the municipality of origin, are significant variables when evaluating the decision to migrate. Finally, it was found that most of the graduates who migrated did it to the country's large cities, such as Cartagena, Bogota, Barranquilla, Medellin and Cali.
