Abstract
PENA SCARPETTA, Wilquin Farid; VILLARD GUTIERREZ, Jhonny Fernando; RAMIREZ, Alfonso Enrique and NIKOLAEVISH KOLOSOV, Evgenii. Synthesis and Voltammetric Characterization of Plated Electrodes Doped with Cerium, Used for Degradation of 4-Chlorophenol. Ciencia en Desarrollo [online]. 2013, vol.4, n.2, pp.49-61. ISSN 0121-7488.
This work is founded on preparation of platinum catalysts (Pt/Ti) and platinum-doped systems (Ce/Pt/Ti), which are generally obtained by formation of a film that acts as a coating on a conductive surface (titanium) by electro-deposition method under galvanostatic regime. On synthesized electrodes, and based on the reaction of electro-oxidation of 4-chlorophenol, we evaluated parameters such as the influence of time during the electro-oxidation and its effect on the magnitude of the surface irregularities and the covering factor of the electrodes in the reaction system; likewise, the parameters that describe the electrochemical behavior of the electrodes
