Abstract
HERRERA CARRILLO, A; SARMIENTO SANTOS, A and BARON GONZALEZ, A. J. Thermal and Spectral Analysis of Sm+3 Ion in a Glass Matrix With TeO2. Ciencia en Desarrollo [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.2, pp.161-165. ISSN 0121-7488.
Tellurites glasses doped with the Sm+3 ion and the following composition: 68TeO2 -10GeO2 - 10K2O-10LiO-10Nb205-2Sm2O3 were prepared in this study. Absorption spectra and differential scan calorimetry (DSC) of the vitreous material were obtained. The following physics parameters were measured for all samples: density, refraction index, optical path and concentration in mol/l. From fexp, the Judd-Ofelt theory and the root mean square (RMS) the phenomenological parameters intensity (Ωλ) were obtained. The following spectroscopic characteristics of the material were determined: Radiative half live, transition probability between multipletes, cross section for stimulated emission and relaxation channels. Thermal stability parameters were analyzed through DSC, and potential applications of these glasses in optoelectronic devices were evaluated.
