Abstract Based on the 3+1 formalism by which is possible the formulation of an arbitrary reference frame within the General Relativity Theory, (GRT), we establish deep analogies between gravitational and electromagnetic fields. To achieve it, new gravitational invariants expressions from the Bel Robinson tensors, and through the Weyl’s quasi-electric and quasi-magnetic field’s tensors in gravitation, were obtained. Furthermore, some theoretical consequences on the development implications of those analogies are established and discussed within the context of the yet to be proved gravitational waves’ experimental reality.
