The starting point of this article is the thesis that every media history is a history of thoughts transferring. We go through the archaic thought and classic metaphysics, with the idea that the fundamental media is the human brain, in order to understand the specificity of this process in relation to the new media phenomena. From this frame we analyze the current phenomena of information profusion, global telecommunications, and the communications among media.
