Online diasporas have been almost exclusively approached from culturalist visions, fact that indeed has darkened the necessity to explain its existence as product and determinant of strict models of collective action. Thus, the present work proposes to approximate its study to the social capital approach, theoretical tendency to see the paper of the conective and associative principles of social networks in the attainment of individual and colective aims.
