The purpose of this article is to describe the findings of the investigation project "Simas and Cool Modes in developing basic competences" in physics. It describes the construction of a learning community under a meaningful collaborative pedagogical model. The conformation of a learning network, the representation of knowledge trough ontological categories and the development of basic competences are some of the results.
