Abstract

ZEPKE, Stephen. Anita Fricek: The contemporary painting as a mechanism of institutional critics. Nómadas [online]. 2009, n.30, pp.34-48. ISSN 0121-7550.

The question about the possible relationships between contemporary art and Gilles Deleuze's aesthetic proposal is stated in this essay. Two juxtaposed matters are put together using their own disjunction: the "conceptual" and the "sensation". Starting from this connection and through Anita Fricek paintings the author makes a critic of Deleuze's sensation's immanent aesthetics, and links it with Fricek's form of institutional critique.

Keywords : contemporary art; deleuzian aesthetics; immanent critique; institutional critique; nietzschean genealogy.
