Abstract

COCCO, Giuseppe. Anthropophagies, racisms, and affirmative actions. Nómadas [online]. 2009, n.30, pp.50-65. ISSN 0121-7550.

From a pragmatic perspective the article states the topicality of a vein in the Brazilian modernism as a way of thinking on race and miscegenation, starting from some anomalous (monstrous) ways of subjective composition simultaneously modern and anti-modern. Through a series of sections drawing a 20th Century different sequence, it portrays the power and ambiguity of the ethnic insubordination chances in the southern countries, without resorting to dialectic thought or contradiction.

Keywords : miscegenation; anthropophagi; race; multiplicity; biopolitics; Oswald de Andrade; modernism (Brazil).
