This article tackles the investigative genesis and development of the Gender and Culture field, emphasizing on its conceptual initial goals and results, and on the challenges of its theoretical deepening subjects. A critical analysis of the gender relational perspective is made in order to understand the subjetivation specific processes in the sphere of the gender system and its interdependence with some other power axes in the complex and plural network of culture.
