The contemporary oblivion of Marxism is not only due to a case of theoretical expiration. This article intends to demonstrate this oblivion as being a symptom and, to that extent, posits that the complacencies caused by this forgetting are the result of the genealogical denial of the Marxist experience. As a way to combat the very complicity of this oblivion, the article lays out a genealogy of "Counter-memory" based on disencounter logics. By means of this genealogy it brings to light new developments in the history between Marxism and Latin America.
