To explore the links between the youth and politics in the conditions of our time, this article analyzes the students' organization at the University of Buenos Aires, in relation with the economic and social transformation emergency that found their highest point of condensation by the end of 2001. We support the idea that independent groups can be thought of as new spaces for politicization as well as shelters for disappointed young militants, becoming territories for youth's political experimentation.
