Abstract

The history of rock in Bogotá is currently a significant period to understand some aspects of the so called prodigious years of counterculture, created since the invention of the electric guitar, more than fifty years ago. This period includes the records of some outstanding musicians like the brothers Jorge and Fernando Latorre, seasoned with remarkable tales about the arrival, smuggled and on a mule, of the first amplification devices.
