The building and institutionalization of scientific research processes occur in the ground of political legitimacy, under the order of a displayed discourse, which aims framing scientific practices that are politically desired and have possibilities of been State financed. from that point, the article states its analysis, as it takes notions and statements, common in documents from the research archive, thus seeking to revisit the pragmatism of science in Colombia. it is found that the problem of scientific knowledge production in this country stems from a political matter.
