Abstract

Martha Senn is perhaps the greatest worldwide-recognized Colombian opera singer. These pages make a resemblance of her career, highlighting the big turns in her pursues. Her life has been a constant search for answers to her own vital inquiries about the meaning of the social ground, associated with what she does best: singing. At the end, a fundamental principle is formulated in the words of Martha herself: the need to use music as a social transformation tool.
