Abstract

BEJARANO, Alberto. ¿QUÉ ES UNA VIDA? BOLAÑO LEE A NIETZSCHE A TRAVÉS DE SCHWOB Y BORGESWHAT IS A LIFE? BOLAÑO READS NIETZSCHE THROUGH SCHWOB AND BORGES. Nómadas [online]. 2012, n.37, pp.121-129. ISSN 0121-7550.

The article supports the idea that the imaginary biography genre initiated by Marcel Schwob, places itself in face of the traditional historical biography as a heretic-critic investigation method that inspects ordinary man lives, highlighting the role of fiction on reality and its effects. The Nietzschean and Schwobian origin of this practice is researched and its use and creative reinvention in Borges and Bolaño are analyzed. Finally, it is stated that this practice turns literature into a practice of exchanging conscience and affect.

Keywords : Nietzsche; history; Borges; fiction; Bolaño; contemporary literature.
