Abstract

FRANCO GAMBOA, Angélica. Damage and reconstruction of the daily life for survivors and collateral victims of anti-personnel mines in Colombia. Nómadas [online]. 2013, n.38, pp.115-131. ISSN 0121-7550.

The paper envisages the understanding of the practical junctions that emerge between actors and social structure in areas with political violence. When interlacing ethnographical material and epistemological discussions on one side, with the anthropology of suffering, the interdisciplinary body studies, and the theory of practice on the other side, the culture is approached as praxis and the body as object of suffering and subject of the reconstruction of the daily life after a traumatic event. These interpretative frameworks are subjected to the ways of experiencing pain, and the reconstruction of the survivors' life.

Keywords : body; event; anti-personnel mine; anthropology of damage; social suffering; daily life.
