Abstract

ORDONEZ ORTEGON, Luisa Fernanda. The body of violence in colombian art history. Nómadas [online]. 2013, n.38, pp.233-242. ISSN 0121-7550.

The history of the relationship between visual arts, body and political violence in Colombia is discussed in this article. It proposes a straighter dialogue between various levels of analysis about the work of those artists deeply engaged in working on the issue of the armed conflict in the country as a long-lasting process. The body operates as a critical concept, requiring historians as well as artists to reflect on how this problem circulates through different artistic devices.

Keywords : visual arts; armed conflict in Colombia; art history; body grammar.
