Abstract

The article analyzes the impact of the global changes, produced from the disintegration of the USSR and by the neo-liberal hegemony, on the Lefts in Latin America. It considers also the path of postmodernism and post-colonial theories as well as subordinated studies in our continent, and what they represented for the social utopia's projects. Finally, the article approaches the experience of the Reial (Network of Studies over the Lefts in Latin America), an scholars' collective from the continent that seeks to understand the experience of the Lefts, aiming to a refoundation of the Latin America's utopian traditions.
