Abstract

VALDERRAMA H, Carlos Eduardo  and  OLAYA, Vladimir. Social sciences and modernization: knowledge, subjectivity and politics weaves. Nómadas [online]. 2014, n.41, pp.79-95. ISSN 0121-7550.

The article tackles the relationship between producing knowledge for modernization and producing individuals for such a modernization in the 20th century in Colombia. It analyses the public policies and plans of development from the period of the República Liberal to the 60s, and relate them to the production of anthropological and sociological knowledge. Consequently, a reshaping of the relationship between theory, reality and individuals in social sciences should be considered.

Keywords : Social sciences; knowledge production; modernization; subjectivity; 20th century; Colombia.
