Abstract

BARRETO AVILA, Magali  and  FLORES GARRIDO, Natalia. Institutionalization, gender violence and demands from the foundation. Nómadas [online]. 2016, n.44, pp.201-217. ISSN 0121-7550.

The article analyzes the participation of a group of female students from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM) who are involved in a network, "Red No Están Solas." Utlitzing the network, they have accessed two cases of gender violence that took place at that university between 2011 and 2015. It specifically observes the students' participation and their interaction with the institutionalizing process of the gender approach at UNAM by revealing the gaps that remain in the university regarding the eradication of gender violence.

Keywords : institutionalization of gender approach; gender violence; public complaints; pressure from the base; feminist movements.
