Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the close relationship between the violence that has occurred in Colombia and the racialized factors that have predominantly shaped the rural areas of Colombia. The scope and claims of the article conclude that the racialized landscapes of current violence in the country is demarcated by the treaty established between the State and the assets of both Colombia and the United States, through the design and implementation of Plan Colombia, as an implicit war strategy against rural ancestral communities.
