Abstract

SALAZAR GUTIERREZ, Salvador. Dissenting the regime of horror and death: female youth groups in Ciudad Juarez (Mexico). Nómadas [online]. 2017, n.46, pp.151-165. ISSN 0121-7550.

The text shows some findings regarding the analysis of collective actions in Ciudad Juárez (Mexico), such actions state a series of strategies in order to unveil and dissent from the regime of horror and death that has been characterized by violence during the last two decades. Through ethnographic work with the female groups Batallones Femeninos and Nuestras Hijas de Regreso a Casa, the article states how organizational practices related to music or urban intervention through murals are strategies that promote life ethics regarding young women.
