Abstract

VELA MURILLO, Norma Patricia. Geographies of accumulation and territorial conflict: the Cajamarca’s Case (Colombia), 2002-2016. Nómadas [online]. 2018, n.48, pp.101-115. ISSN 0121-7550.  https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n48a6.

The text analyzes the territory as a central axis in the study of the processes and social relations that are present in the production of geographies of capital accumulation, based on the territorial conflict of the municipality of Cajamarca, Tolima. Thus, the document aims to understand the processes of accumulation by dispossession through and by conflictive actions in rurban spaces, which are a result of extractive activity within the framework of globalization processes and territorial transformations.

Keywords : geographies of capital accumulation; territorial transformations; territorialization; transnational corporations; extractivism; and accumulation by dispossession.
