Resumen
RODRIGUEZ-PENARANDA, María Luisa. Fraternity and Feminist Struggles against Sexual Harassment at the National University of Colombia. Nómadas [online]. 2019, n.51, pp.49-65. ISSN 0121-7550. https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n51a3.
The article puts forward a reflection on the feminist struggles for the right of women to a life free of sexual harassment that emerged at the National University of Colombia. To do so, it addresses three aspects: i) the plurality of forms in which feminist organizations grouped following labor-union logics; ii) the multiplicity of strategies to denounce and deal with sexual violence; and iii) the difficulties to unite themselves towards achieving a common goal from a fraternal perspective. It posits fraternity as the republican metaphor that merge individuals through empathy and affection, challenging the individualism distinctive of academic neoliberalism.
