Abstract

FUENTES-VASQUEZ, Lya Yaneth. "Stories that are not Stories": Sexual Harassment, Naturalized Violence in University Classrooms. Nómadas [online]. 2019, n.51, pp.135-153. ISSN 0121-7550.  https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n51a8.

The article presents the most relevant findings on sexual harassment within a research on violence and discrimination conducted in a private university in Bogotá. Under a qualitative strategy, it documents and analyzes the different manifestations, scenarios and actors of this type of violence, mainly against female students by their teachers. It gathers up the workshops held with students, teachers and administrative staff. The sex/gender system, as a universal organizer of sexual difference, and the concept of heteronormativity work as the theoretical framework for this inquiry.

Keywords : University Sexual Harassment; Sexual Violence; Discrimination; Sexism; Higher Education; Heteronormativity.
