Abstract

IBARRA, María Eugenia; MATALLANA, Susana; RODRIGUEZ, Alba Nubia  and  RECALDE, Stephania. Gender-Based Violence: Perceptions based upon a Social Cartography Exercise. Nómadas [online]. 2019, n.51, pp.155-171. ISSN 0121-7550.  https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n51a9.

The article presents a description and analysis of the data obtained in a social cartography exercise on gender-based violence at the Universidad del Valle in 2017. It assumes cartography as a way of having a sociopolitical dimension of the university space that enables decision-making over the territory in an inclusive and concerted manner. In this way, it is possible to contribute to the process of decision-making by university authorities who tend to deal with the forms of gender-based violence and discrimination present on campus.

Keywords : Gender-Based Violence; Social Cartography; Higher Education Institutions; Discrimination; Territory; Gender Policy.
