The article posits a critical reading of the armed conflict history in Colombia constructed by the judgments of Justice and Peace. As a start, the relationship between history and law needs to be placed, with their similarities and differences. Then, there is an exploration of the inclusion and justification of history in the judgments, the periodization elaborations of the conflict, and the subjects of the history involved. The author concludes with an analysis of the narrative device and the opening to socio-historical researches that the judgments entail.
